SESSION 9: INVITATIONS

ACTIVITY 1

 

Denomination: Creating the invitations

Timing:  1 hour

Materials and resources: Procreate, Facebook, Twitter, iPad, Projector

​

A new challenge is presented: to make the invitation to the project in different formats. The best way for our project to be a success is to achieve maximum disclosure of it, the students themselves will be in charge of spreading this great news to different types of environments. 

​

  • Group 1: SCHOOL. The components of this group will invite their mates from other classes and will visit other classes too. 

  • Group 2: TOWNHALL and FAMILIES. They will make a digital invitation.

​

Before beginning its elaboration, it is proposed that they consult different types of invitations. Once they have chosen and designed the message, using Canvas as a digital resource, they will prepare their own invitation, they will review it and they will have to download it in a pdf document on the computer. 

​

In the invitation will be included:

  • The theme of the project

  • The reason for its realization

  • The date and time of the meeting.

  • The access link.

​

From the class email, they will send the invitations to the mayor’s email so he would be aware of the talk appointment. If the mayor has the invitation, he will be able to spread it at the townhall so it will be visible to the community. Besides, they will also send the invitations to each of their families.

​

  • Group 3:EXTRACURRICULAR EVENT. This group will be in charge of creating an advertising poster using the Canva application. In it they must reflect the extracurricular activity that they are going to carry out to give the closing clasp to their project; therefore, they have to give the event a name, as well as indicate the place, date and time the event will take place. This poster will be presented at the session with the mayor, as a sample of another of their final products.

  • Group 4: FACEBOOK. They will create an event on Facebook.

In addition, to optimize the spread of our project, we will create an event using the Facebook of the class, managed by the teacher. Although the management of Facebook is in the hands of the teacher, the creation and publication of the event will be done by our students.
