WEEK 2


Hi! This is the report for the second week of our project!

On Tuesday we dedicated our class hour and more to our project, since we had established a small brainstorming of ideas centered on the topic. Firstly we had to decide to which grade we want to focus our Didactic Unit on, and we were unsure, deciding to choose between fourth, fifth or sixth grade but due to thrid cycle's versatility, we think we will go on that way. For what we learnt on last year's Didactic Unit, we must choose the grade and start by the contents, and in our case we will be looking into third cycle's contents, those related to Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and ICT, and related to our topic, «Recycling and responsible consumption». We established that for our next session we will put in common resources we can use to promote ICT uses on our work.


On Friday we did so many things!

As I said before, we started putting in common resources we found useful, and I have to admit that is so easy to get lost in that inmense sea of ideas, webs, games, etc., that we had the feeling we are probably missing so many good resources although we have found so many that are great... All of us had really good ideas and the ones we liked the most are:

After being delighted with all the resources (no jokes, they are almost infinite) we decided to work on our Didactic Unit's base, with the idea of a solid schema getting done. We have deciden on fifth grade, since last year we worked out a Didactic Unit for sixth and we do not want to repeat so we have some vairety.

Some concepts we left done are:

-What will introduce the students is a letter from their town's mayor letting them know they have an environmental problem.

- We chose the Social Science subject and we will decide which subjects we will add as cross-disciplinary, but for now we have thought of ICT or Artistic Education.

- We have established the most basic schema (Temporalization, Areas, Course, Justification, Area objectives, Stage objectives, Didactic goals, Methodology, Schedule, Evaluation criteria, Assessable learning standards, Evaluation).

- For the Schedule we have done ten sessions but this is not definitive.

- We have also decided to give our students an assistant called Ecoxia, which will help them through their project of Service Learning, Problem-Based Learning and Cooperative Learning.

On Monday we will try to close the Schedule including activities and show it on Tuesday to Vanesa! We are full of works right now since we are in the middle of this semester, but we will continue giving our best.
