VIRTUAL ASSITENT IN EDUCATION
Virtual assistants are among the main resources with the greatest potential for long-term impact in the education sector. This is stated in the Horizon Report: Higher Education Edition 2019, produced by the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) with the collaboration of a group of 98 experts.
HOW WE CREATE ECOXIA?
Surely throughout this whole project you will have heard about Ecoxia, and you will wonder who it is? , and well she charges the most important and central part of our project, that is to say it is who will guide our small ecoxians throughout the learning process of this unit. Ecoxia is the mascot in charge of giving the necessary and timely instructions to the students, from the route they must make to the final products of the project. Our assistant has been created by ourselves to which we have put image, name and will be accompanied by podcasts with the necessary instructions and even with its own robot voice!.
It is a very simple resource to use as the teacher will simply record the voice with the appropriate instructions and through #Audacity app, you can create content in a simple and fast way. A very useful resource that manages to motivate students to a great extent. It also achieves the main objective of the PBL that treats the teacher as a simple guide, adopting the protagonist role of learning, our students.
Finally we should highlight the use of this type of ICT tools in the classroom since it is a personalized education, adopting new experiences of learning in the classroom and fully adapted to the new times that this 2020 has brought us in a revolutionary way and that we must learn to live with these current models of education, to which the teaching team must respond with adaptability to the different needs of our students since they are the ones who take the lead role.
